WORD OF GOD MINISTRIES HISTORY

A Distinct Identity

The Word of God Ministries was founded in October 1978 in the city of Carson, California. It started out as a home Friday night bible study at the home of Allen and Rose Charbonnet located in Carson, California. The founders were Allen Charbonnet, Rose Charbonnet, and Ralph Turner. God opened the door where the bible study was moved to Faith Baptist Church in Carson, California. Allen and his wife Rose established the ministry as an evangelistic non-profit corporation for the promulgation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was legally incorporated in February 1980 under the State of California and the U.S. Government. The Word of God Ministries established its Tax-exemption statues under the Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c)(3). The Word of God Ministries began to hold Sunday Services in 1982.

In April 1984 the Word of God Ministries Amended the Articles of Incorporation to operate a church for the worship of Jesus Christ. In October of 1983 we began hosting multiple services: Wednesday night prayer meetings, Friday night bible study, and Sunday morning worship services. Services continued to be held in Carson, California until 1998 when we moved to Long Beach, California, which is still our home town where we are presently holding services.
